What is life?
This question has millions of answers, most correct in some way or the other. Today let's take two thoughts together, and what conclusion they may lead to.
Let's consider this:
- Your life happens in the current moment. And only there. There's nothing you can do to move one minute into the past or the future. Time just progresses. Life is a finite series of nows.
- If you can't change something, don't worry about it. It won't change anything. So we should just make the best of it.
This leads me to the belief that life is about (1) being present, and (2) making the best of this present moment. Of course, this shouldn't lead to pure hedonism. It’s about sustainability and sometimes doing things to make future you happy.

“Mindfulness is awareness of the present moment, using your senses and fully engaging with your conscious mind to attend to whatever you are doing. Taking time to notice and to notice with curiosity your feelings, thoughts, responses and senses allows you to fully experience. This will connect you to the world and yourself and provide space to process what is happening.”

Weekly Mindfulness Practice
If you enjoy drinking tea or coffee, this exercise is for you! Although it works with any drink that has some flavor.
Take more the time to drink your cup by taking small sips and trying to feel into it. What do you smell and taste? Is it warm or cold?
If your thoughts wander, gently return to your activity and mindfully take another sip.
